JOB OVERVIEW The Automotive Service technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing a wide range fleet vehicles. This licensed qualified will oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, diagnose, perform repairs, and complete documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulics.
Complete annual CVIP inspections and certifications.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Proficient with electronic components and computerized equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems.
Maintain relationships with multiple vendors to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Travel and overnight trips to perform offsite service and maintenance may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Automotive Service Technician within Alberta
2+ years Automotive Service Technician experience would be an asset
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
Problem solving skills that can be displayed and communicated efficiently
Must be physically fit enough to meet the challenges of hard physical work (lift to 50 pounds).
Computer proficient
Successfully PASS and maintain Criminal Record Check
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
