Position Status: Full-Time, Temporary, Hourly

Job Summary:

The mower works in tandem with the Brush Cutting team to complete the summer grooming by ensuring all vegetation growth over the summer is cut down and even across the mountain. This ensures the mountain is ready for the upcoming winter season by not having any growth visible come snow time. This is a physically demanding, outdoor job ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in the mountains. You will operating a skid steer with the mower attachment.

Major Functions
Operating the skid steer in a safe and effective manner.
Completing daily pre-op and post-op checks of the skid steer; with the direction of the mechanics and Operations Manager.




Following safety procedures and working in coordination with team members.
Following the mowing plan set out by the Operations Manager.
Reporting hazards, obstacles, or areas of concern to the Operations Manager.

Skills and preferred requirements:
Skid steer (or similar machine) operation preferred and highly reccomended.
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Physically fit, able to lift upwards of 50lbs, and comfortable working on steep, uneven terrain.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or in a team
Must have a positive attitude!
Experience with brush cutting or outdoor labor preferred.
Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable.
Basic knowledge of secure equipment handling.

Additional requirements:
CSA approved work boots with good tread
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Willingness to learn and possibly flexible on hours as needed

This position starts ASAP and is temporary, till mid-October or until operational needs change.
