Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our Service team. This position focuses on diagnostics, preventative maintenance, commercial vehicle inspections, and repairs on Freightliner, Western Star & Other heavy-duty trucks.
The ideal candidate is a strong diagnostic technician with excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills who can work independently
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostics, Repair & Maintenance
Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and aftertreatment systems.
Perform commercial vehicle inspections and complete all required repairs.
Test vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Use OEM diagnostic software and equipment to identify and resolve faults.
Perform electrical wiring repairs and troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
Conduct road tests and operational testing to verify repairs and confirm vehicle performance.
Troubleshooting:
Review repair concerns with Service Advisors.
Diagnose faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic procedures.
Determine root causes of failures and recommend the most effective repair solutions.
Provide accurate repair recommendations and estimated completion times.
Coordinate with Parts Technicians to ensure required parts are available or ordered promptly.
Qualifications:
Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician Licence or equivalent Canadian Journeyperson certification (required).
Minimum 3–5 years of heavy-duty truck repair experience.
Red Seal Endorsement is preferred.
Experience performing commercial vehicle inspections (DriveON or equivalent) is an asset.
Robust computer skills and familiarity with up-to-date diagnostic technology.
Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience diagnosing engines, emissions systems, aftertreatment, electrical systems, and multiplex wiring.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Must own a complete set of professional mechanic's tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
