The Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is seeking an creative and inspired support worker to build on the strength of a well-established organization. We are looking for someone who is committed to working with people and sets a high standard in the promotion of health, choice, and community inclusion.This position would include supporting the individuals we serve in all areas of their lives such as cooking, cleaning, yardwork, medication administration, community inclusion, and employment. Training is provided for these tasks.Tasks include:Assist with
cooking, meal planning, and grocery shoppingSupport
cleaning, laundry, and home organizationHelp with
yardwork and basic home maintenanceProvide
medication reminders and support

documentation and communication with care teamsShift:10 hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.Overnight shifts in the DJ's ProgramQUALIFICATIONS:
Class 4 Driver’s license must be to be obtained in the trial period of 3 months;
Staff must have a valid Class 5 Drivers license with at least three years of Class 5 driving experienceat the time of application.Lifting & TransferringSeizure Management trainingCrisis Prevention InterventionMedication administrationThis is a BCGEU unionized position, Grid Level 10. ($25.95-$29.76/ hour for awake shift. For hours spent on sleep shift, our wages would follow Grid Level 5.
