What you’ll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze quality data and trends, providing actionable insights to enhance product safety and performance.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, safety incidents, and audit findings, presenting them to management and stakeholders.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality-related issues, developing corrective and preventive action plans to mitigate risks.
- Train and mentor team members on quality assurance best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in quality assurance methodologies, integrating relevant practices into our processes.
- Manage documentation related to quality assurance and safety, ensuring that all records are accurate,
complete, and easily accessible for review.
- Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and certification agencies to ensure compliance with safety standards and obtain necessary certifications.
- Support product development teams by providing quality input during the design and testing phases, ensuring that safety considerations are prioritized.
- Participate in safety meetings and initiatives, promoting a proactive approach to workplace safety and risk management.
- Assist in the development and execution of training programs focused on quality assurance and safety for all employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or safety management within a manufacturing or technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and safety regulations, including ISO standards.
- Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections, with a track record of identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
- Proficiency in quality assurance tools and methodologies,
including Six Sigma, Lean, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of quality documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and safety management practices is highly desirable.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQE, CQA) or Safety Management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is a plus.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability practices.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a quality assurance or safety team.
- Familiarity with software development processes and Agile methodologies.
