DUTIES

At Thompson Rivers University, we offer far more than exceptional perks—we provide a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and inspired.

Our employees enjoy generous vacation and leave options, employer‑paid comprehensive health coverage, a competitive pension plan, and meaningful career development opportunities.

TRU fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed and innovation is encouraged, making it a truly great place to build a fulfilling career.

Diverse and open with spectacular views, Kamloops sits in the heart of Southern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Secwépemc people.

The city’s stunning natural landscape—river valleys, semi‑arid grasslands, pine and fir forests, lakes, and mountain peaks—creates an ideal backdrop for four seasons of outdoor adventure.

Friendly and welcoming, Kamloops offers a safe and supportive environment, affordability, a vibrant cultural scene, and convenient access to Vancouver by a 3.5‑hour drive or 45‑minute flight.

TRU gives students the advantage of small class sizes, abundant opportunities for undergraduate research,

and a centrally located campus.

More than 26,000 students study at TRU either on campus or online, contributing to a dynamic and engaged learning community.

TRU and the School of Nursing value equity, diversity, and inclusivity and are committed to advancing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

We are seeking agile team players who are passionate about meeting the educational needs of the healthcare system.

The School of Nursing offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs across two campuses, including Health Care Assistant, Practical Nursing (Williams Lake only), Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Nursing, and Master of Nurse Practitioner programs.

The School of Nursing, BScN program, invites applications for two (2) Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor positions commencing July 1, 2026.

Successful candidates with a bipartite appointment will teach theory and practice courses and engage in service to the school, university, profession, and community.
