Based in Richmond, BC, our companies — including Crescent Custom Yachts and Tactical Custom Boats — operate at the forefront of marine construction and refit excellence.About The RoleThe Marine Electrician Lead is responsible for leading a team in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electrical and electronic systems on new-build and refit vessels. deficiencies, and materials usedCoordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure proper system integrationEnsure compliance with safety standards, marine regulations, and company proceduresPerform procurement and ordering of electrical materials required for buildsSecondary Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with electricians, shipwrights, welders, carpenters, plumbers, and project teams to ensure integrated system functionalityMentor apprentices and support trade developmentEnforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements, company and industry regulatory standards and best practicesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaOther duties as assigned to support project schedule and deliveryQualifications & ExperienceEducation & Technical BackgroundDiploma or degree in:Electrical EngineeringMarine Electrical / Marine EngineeringIndustrial Electrical TechnologyOR a Red Seal Electrician certification (Canada) — highly valuedAdditional marine-specific training is a strong advantageExperience5-10+ years in marine or industrial electrical environmentsAt least 2–3 years in a leadership role (Lead, Supervisor, Foreman)Technical Skills (Core Requirement)Marine Electrical SystemsPower generation & distribution systemsSwitchboards and control panelsLighting systemsNavigation & communication systemsAlarm and monitoring systemsInstallation & TroubleshootingCable routing, termination, and testingFault finding and diagnosticsCommissioning and system start-upWork EnvironmentShipyard and office environment.Quick-paced, deadline-driven projects with multiple priorities.May require overtime or weekend work during peak project phases.Interaction with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
