Mallard Medical Clinic is a modern family medicine practice dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are expanding our preventive health services and are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our PAP Smear Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform cervical cancer screening (Pap tests) according to Ontario guidelines.


• Obtain relevant medical and gynecological histories.


• Educate patients about cervical cancer screening, HPV testing, and follow-up recommendations.


• Prepare examination rooms and ensure proper infection prevention and control practices.


• Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.


• Document assessments and procedures accurately in OSCAR EMR.


• Assist the physician with women’s health services when required.


• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with PHIPA regulations.


• Promote a welcoming, respectful, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).


• Current CPR certification.






• Previous experience performing Pap smears independently is required.


• Experience in family medicine, primary care, or women’s health is strongly preferred.


• Experience using OSCAR EMR is considered a strong asset.


• Excellent communication and patient education skills.


• Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule

• Part-time.


• Flexible weekday and/or weekend hours.


• One or more dedicated PAP clinic sessions per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the clinic grows.
