About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Roto Artist to join our VFX team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating precise rotoscope mattes for challenging shots while maintaining high quality standards. This position requires patience, technical accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently within production deadlines.
Responsibilities
Create precise rotoscope mattes for complex live-action footage.
Perform clean plate creation and digital paint work.
Track and match camera movements accurately.
Generate articulate shape animations for moving subjects.
Maintain consistency across sequential frames.
Execute quality control on your own work.
Document techniques and maintain organized project files.
Collaborate with compositing team to ensure deliverable quality.
Handle multiple shots simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
2-3 years of professional rotoscoping experience.
Strong understanding of human anatomy and movement.
Excellent eye for detail and edge quality.
Ability to analyze motion and anticipate movement.
Experience with tracking difficult shots.
Knowledge of VFX pipeline and workflow.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines.
Technical Skills
Silhouette or Mocha Pro (required).
Nuke (required).
Adobe Photoshop (required).
Experience with planar tracking.
Understanding of spline animation techniques.
Knowledge of motion blur handling.
Familiarity with stereo conversion workflows (plus).
Basic compositing knowledge.
Additional Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Good understanding of perspective and form.
Ability to maintain concentration for extended periods.
