Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cardiac Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. About the Job
The Registered Nurse:

Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care

Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team





Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs

Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

This is a Term-specific Part Time (0.50) position until December 31, 2026.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days; rotating from 07:00 to 17:00 hours.

About this location/unit
Kelowna is home to the new Interior Heart and Surgical Centre (IHSC) at Kelowna General Hospital built in 2015. The new Regional Cardiac Revascularization Program provides residents of the British Columbia Interior with the cardiac care they need, right here in the heart of the Okanagan Valley.

Qualfications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

BCLS within 3 years

Note** This position is located at the Interior Health and Surgical Centre (KGH) and applicants will also be required to have successfully completed the Cardiac Surgery Basic Theory Course.
