Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team.
Valid Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)).
Extensive, hands-on knowledge and experience with Jira for Agile project management.
Expert-level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Proven experience in coaching teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively remove impediments.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented
Experience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud based services
Experience in affecting large culture change
Experience leading infrastructure programs
Skilled at working with third party service providers
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Advanced Scrum certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II).
Experience in a technical role (e.g., developer, QA) prior to becoming a Scrum Master.
Experience with other Agile tools like Confluence.
What You Will Be Doing
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
Act as a servant-leader for the Scrum Team, helping to remove impediments and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information.
Support the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Build a trusting and safe setting where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
Utilize Jira and other Agile project management tools to track team progress, manage backlogs, and provide key metrics and reports on team performance.
