Diagnostic Imaging has four key philosophies of service: Collaborative Practice, Wellness, Patient and Family Centered Care, and Innovation. These provide the guiding principles in the development and delivery of service to all patients and families in Diagnostic Imaging at High River Hospital.The positionis responsible forproviding and performing the highest quality service possible to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging. This service provision is made in an effective,efficientand safe manner.The successful candidate will work closely with other areas within High River Hospital and across the zone with Diagnostic Imaging. This position willworkin General Radiography and limited Computed Tomography and on call.

Description
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Required Qualifications
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications




Member in positive standing and current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork.Perception, initiative, good judgement and concern for detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.Ability todemonstratetact and courtesy in dealing with patients,staffand physicians.Practices effective radiation protection, infectioncontroland safety techniques as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications
CT experience preferred.
