Our team islookingto fill a current vacant positionofManager, Communications. This isa16-month contractpositionworking 35 hours per weekanywhere in Canada.

The impactyou will have:
The Manager, Communications plays an advisory role in the development and implementation of best practices incorporate communications,
with direct accountability for enhancing the organization’s reputation and proactively managing initiatives and projects thatimpactpublicperceptionof MS Canada.Youwill play a key role in informing constituents through compelling externalcommunications andwill manage the media relations activities for the organization.You will be an active collaboratorwith members of the organization to shape and delivermessagingto helpteams meet their communication and public relations goals, contributing to their objectives.
Our ideal candidate:
Brings proven experienceinmanagingcommunications, public relations,and/or media relationsplans that support brand identity and image.
Brings proven experience in managing media relations, including facilitating inquiries, outreach,andlogisticsplanning.
Demonstrates strong writing, editing and project management skills,withtheability to manage competing priorities.
Demonstratesstrong problem solving and critical thinking skills, navigating challenges with tact and diplomacy.
Is highly cooperative and able to build trusting professional relationships with colleagues, external partners, and community members.
Demonstrates experience leading a team by providing direction, coaching, and feedback through direct people management and/or project leadership.
Availability to work the occasional weekend and evenings; potential for occasional travel across Canada.
