What you will do:
Perform First Off verification and maintain inspection Records
Perform In-process inspection and maintain inspection Records
Collect test samples
Weigh and record parts weight daily
Perform product testing as per Test Procedures
Contain, identify and notify team when non-conforming material is found (Use of NCR & Hold Labels)
Receive incoming materials (labels & hardware etc.) and maintain Records
Prepare Process Documents and samples required for the next work order
Maintain label cage inventory file and move items in / out of label cage
Issue labels/ components and update all transactions in QA inventory files
Receive returns from production and move to storage
Review and approve scrap from production
Perform inventory count, as required
Enter the packaging and colourant transactions into the inventory sheet daily
Print labels in-house as necessary
Maintain QA laboratory and testing areas
Perform other duties as required
The right candidate will have/be:
Education: Post Secondary education or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance on plant floor in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Understanding of manufacturing systems as they relate to quality
Self-starter and able to work in an extremely fast-paced team environment.
Able to make sound decisions and judgement calls relative to customer specifications.
A background in the plastics industry is an asset
Knowledge of injection molding and extrusion processes is an asset
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic MS office software; excel, word, outlook
