Join the County of Simcoe as a part time Cross Certified Primary Care Paramedic. Deliver critical pre-hospital and emergency care while ensuring high standards of patient treatment and safety.
This position reports directly to the Platoon Supervisor and involves providing 24-hour ambulance services. Key responsibilities include executing medical interventions safely, responding to emergency calls, and maintaining compliance with health standards. You will also carry out thorough self-assessments to enhance patient care alongside managing supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls efficiently
• Apply essential medical interventions in urgent situations
• Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care
• Maintain detailed documentation of all calls and treatments
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are operational and compliant
Requirements:
• Community College Diploma in Primary Care Paramedicine
• Current AEMCA certification and Ontario Base Hospital certification
• Valid Ontario unrestricted “F” class driver’s license
• BLS and Standard First Aid certifications required
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
