Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday from 10:30pm to 6:30am
HIRING RATES
$44.20 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems relevant to plant equipment, production machines.
Apply and use machine and testing equipment necessary to rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
Operate and understand the basic principles of operation and repair of packaging equipment and related materials used.
Read, interpret, and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
Perform and understand welding processes (arc welding, TIG welding, plasma cutter/welding, oxy‑acetylene welding and brazing, and soldering).
Install, set up, and calibrate instrumentation, process systems, and controls.
Perform and record all preventative maintenance functions, both manual and computer‑based operations.
Adhere to safety procedures and use all safety equipment as required.
Perform adjustments, calibrations,
and configurations of plant weighing operations, metal detectors, printers, and label‑making equipment.
Fabricate basic machine parts as required.
Calculate and provide mathematical solutions to mechanical problems, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
Provide suggestions and technical support to production and engineering as needed.
Participate in special projects, other duties, or tasks as assigned.
Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
Ensure compliance with all product safety, legality, and quality requirements.
Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
3–5 years of hands‑on experience in a food or pharmaceutical production environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent multi‑tasking and troubleshooting abilities with an eye for continuous improvement.
Strong drive to take action.
Specialized training from a recognized community college program or trade certification (dual disciplines preferred).
433A Canadian Millwright License required.
Willingness to work onsite in Scarborough, 5 days per week.
