The Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking eligible candidates for a Wildland Firefighter position. This role requires skills in initial fire attack and ongoing suppression efforts until the fire is fully controlled. Applicants must be prepared for physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions and must be eager to work effectively with a team under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Suppress fires by executing initial attack techniques
• Extinguish fires once declared under control
• Engage in fire control efforts as a first response
• Meet physical demands of fire suppression activities
• Collaborate within a team in high-stress situations
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Valid Driver’s Licence and English proficiency required
• Completion of SP100 Wildland Firefighter Training course
• Standard First Aid certification is an asset
• Must pass the WFX-Fit Test
Contribute to fire control efforts as a dedicated Wildland Firefighter at the Ministry of Natural Resources.
