About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Production and Inventory Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will manage production jobs within the company's ERP system, maintain accurate inventory records, and support manufacturing cost analysis and reporting. Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance teams, you will help ensure the accuracy of production transactions, inventory integrity, standard costing, and variance analysis, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Production Job Management Plan, release, and monitor production work orders to ensure timely execution and alignment with demand and capacity
Ensure all work orders contain the correct product design, material requirements, and customer specifications for each customized order
Collaborate with design or engineering teams to ensure all custom features are accurately reflected in the work order
Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve errors in Bills of Material and technical drawings
Track and analyze labour hours against work orders, identifying inefficiencies and variances from standards or budgets
Review and close production jobs by ensuring all labor, material consumption, scrap, and completed quantities are accurately recorded in the ERP system
Investigate and resolve production transaction discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy and costing integrity
Collaborate with the Production team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of manufacturing activities
Develop reports and dashboards on inventory, cost trends, work order performance, and labour efficiency
Inventory Management Manage and maintain inventory levels for raw materials, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods
Set up and maintain part master data for all locations and sites
Create and manage warehouse bin locations to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and stock accuracy




Configure and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels (Min/Max settings) to optimize replenishment and prevent stockouts
Perform ABC inventory analysis to classify items based on value and usage, improving inventory control and cycle counting
Identify and manage slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory, recommending corrective actions to reduce carrying costs
Monitor inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments, ensuring ERP system accuracy
Conduct cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels
Generate inventory performance reports, including inventory accuracy, turnover, stock valuation, and aging reports
Continuously identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency
Manufacturing Cost Management Calculate and analyze product standard costs and variances
Prepare monthly cost reports and support financial close activities
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
About You Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or a related field
2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with inventory management principles, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation in manufacturing environments using an ERP system
Experience in manufacturing and production planning
Knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor or Visual is an asset
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts required)
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Good communication and cross-functional collaboration
Pay Range $67,500 - $72,500 per year
You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this prospect.
