We provide an integrated suite of software solutions designed for processing sonar and LiDAR data, managing and analyzing large datasets, producing nautical charts and maps, and delivering data via web services and enterprise systems. Responsibilities Maintain efficient processes to ensure revenue is accurately and timely recognized throughout the fiscal year.
Manage and support month end close activities by providing financial analysis and journal entry postings related to the company’s activities associated with revenue, prepaids and accruals, fixed assets and intangibles, and various other accounts.
Manage and review travel expenses for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of submissions.
Work with employees to provide guidance.
Manage and issue intercompany project billings and periodically confirm balances with trading partners.
Prepare departmental variance report for submission and review by Functional and Product managers.
Improve utilization of financial reporting tools and processes and maintain/improve turnaround of financial results by making processes more efficient,
accurate and less manually intense.
Seek opportunities in financial analysis to drive and influence improvements in efficiency and costs.
Timely completion and submission of Statistics Canada surveys as requested from Government of Canada.
Work on various ad hoc projects and operational activities as directed by the Manager.
Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years’ financial or accounting related experience.
Advanced knowledge using Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to details.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience providing stakeholders with financial direction and sound financial strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Prior experience with SAP is an asset.
