The Capitol Forum is seeking a reporter with a proven ability to break news regarding Congress. We’re looking for an aggressive journalist who can get scoops that shed light on government processes, and place the news in context with penetrating analysis. The position will require the reporter to write clear, in-depth, accurate stories on Congressional matters, with a focus on technology and other competition related issues.
Position And Key Responsibilities Ability to build a source network
Persistence and determination in getting to the core of a story or scoop
Ability to interpret and analyze data
Prepare, review, edit, and finalize written reports concerning content and style with the most objective perspective on the impact of legislative action
Qualifications At least seven years of journalism experience, preferably covering the White House, Capitol Hill, or Antitrust Agencies
Ability to write clearly and quickly
Passion to break news on Congressional issues
Interest in the intersection of business, government, politics and the law
Compensation And Advantages Salary range $110,000-$150,000, depending on experience.
