Fraser Health is seeking a Peer Support Worker to join its dedicated team for the Assertive Community Treatment Program. This part time role focuses on assisting clients with mental illness and substance use through emotional support, life skills training, and community integration. You will actively collaborate with clients and the ACT team to foster recovery and community belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build purposeful relationships with clients
• Assist with developing essential life skills
• Provide practical information and resources
• Support community integration activities
• Document progress and assist with care planning
Requirements:
• Lived experience of mental illness
• Grade 12 and peer support training
• 1 year related work experience
• Food Safe Certificate
• Valid Class Five BC Driver's License
