Company Description Hants Community Hospital (HCH), is seeking full-time or part time emergency medicine physicians to join their team. There is opportunity to engage in research and/or teaching positions with Dalhousie University, as well as, local simulation based opportunities, should that be of interest. HCR ED is approximately 40 minutes drive from the region's tertiary care pediatric facility, the IWK Health Centre, and the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre.
HCH services include:
24-hour emergency department
long-term care facility (32 beds)
surgery programs including general and orthopedic surgery
several specialty clinics (including obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, hematology)
mental health team
On-call services are provided from Halifax and Kentville.
Job Description Responsibilities duties include full scope of practice as an emergency physician
the physician will be responsible to the department head for emergency medicine for their skilled responsibilities and quality of practice, and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
Expected Hours full-time
10-hour day shifts and 14 hour night shifts available
all applicants must have a currentPALS Certification
all applicants must have a currentATLS Certification
all applicants must have a currentACLS Certification
