Role Overview We are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will enhance financial statement reporting and support accounting processes. Key Accountabilities Leadership & Collaboration
Embody Wesgroup’s core values and align decisions with team and organizational goals.
Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering growth in a collaborative environment.
Build strong relationships with internal teams to support departmental objectives.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Lead full-cycle accounting for multiple entities,



including period-end reporting and annual ASPE consolidated financial statements.
Manage external audit engagements (interim and year-end).
Review and approve team work related to journal entries, invoice processing, and tax reconciliations.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Own the corporate overhead budgeting and reforecasting process.
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Standardize and document accounting procedures.
Optimize accounting tools, including Yardi and related products.
Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
Research complex accounting issues and prepare recommendations.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate or related industry.
CPA designation or equivalent.
Experience using Yardi Voyager.
Proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills.
Experience using Power BI, an asset.
Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
Good understanding of complex organizational structures and the flow of funds between entities.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Public practice experience, an asset.
Expected Compensation Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
