Responsibilities
Client Management, Program Management and Senior Engineering responsibilities
Assist with the procurement of new business for the Company, including preparation of proposals and quotations
Communicate with all project stakeholders and build key relationships
Assist with the transfer of knowledge regarding company operations, and updates to the Company process manual
QA/QC Project Management Software and ensure employee compliance
Budgeting, cost estimating, and report preparation
System planning, load forecasting, and master plan preparation
Specification writing
Agreement and security co-ordination
Local Distribution Company Offer to Connect interpretation
Coordinate job site inspections during and after construction for compliance with specs
Attend design and project meetings as required
Create plans to address clients’ business needs including scheduling regular meetings with customers to ensure satisfaction
Act as point of contact for complaints and elevate issues as appropriate
Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products
Ensure both the company and clients adhere to contract terms
Set sales and revenue targets and work diligently to meet them
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, engineers, senior management) to address customers’ needs
Design power distribution and street lighting systems for residential/commercial developments
Oversee critical project information, drawings, files, spreadsheets, and records
Design/approve power distribution and street lighting or other outdoor lighting systems for residential / commercial developments
Design/approve traffic signalization and street lighting systems for municipal / provincial road projects
Design/approve distribution system expansion or rehabilitation designs
Utility coordination and relocation services and joint-use project administration
Supervise and mentor Project Engineers, and Engineering Technologists/Technicians
Attend design and project meetings as required
Final approver and signing engineer on all drawings, reports and customer facing material as per PEO
Oversee project management through design, approval, coordination, construction, and assumption phases
Oversee Contract administration through tendering, award, quantity review, completion, and assumption stages
Ensure that critical project work has been verified at key milestones by facilitating design review mechanisms
Manage, monitor & track spending to project budgets (internal and external), schedules and deliveries
Job site inspections as required for interpretation of construction drawings, and for general compliance with specs
Facilitate project related problem solving, resource allocation, and issue resolution by engaging pertinent parties and expertise as required
Maintain the integrity of the project management tool and other group software, ensuring licenses and updates are kept current and utilized effectively
Requirements
Attributes and Competencies
Graduate of University program in Electrical Engineering with a P. Eng. Designation
Traffic Signal experience is mandatory
High level of motivation; self-starter; drive for results

5-10 years working/business experience in related areas, with 10 years in a power distribution environment
Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting software
Working knowledge of photometric calculation software for roadway and area lighting
Expertise with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Familiarity of Project Management Tools such Zoho Projects…etc.
Knowledge of power distribution system fundamentals, O.E.S.C., CSA Standards and distribution system specs
Familiarity with health and safety legislation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – valuable command of the English language, written and oral
Organized in time management and priority setting
Must have a valid driver’s license and own car
Prepared to work occasional evenings or weekends
Experience in working in cross-functional teams
Basic working knowledge of business operations, project planning and budgeting
