What We’re Looking For You will ideally have: Approximately 3–7 years of legal experience
Family law experience (preferred, but not required)




Practical courtroom experience
Membership in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, or eligibility to become a member
Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
A professional, client-focused approach
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to the firm’s continued success
Bilingual (English/French) skills are considered an asset
Key Responsibilities As an Associate Family Lawyer, you will: Manage and advance client files with appropriate guidance and support
Meet with clients to provide legal advice and move matters forward
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court materials
Attend court appearances and other legal proceedings
Work collaboratively with lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants
Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service
Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm
