Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Team Manager, Bank Operations Compliance , you will lead and support a team responsible for monitoring compliance, operational quality, and regulatory adherence acrossInclusive Banking.You will provide branch leadership teams with the tools, insights, and guidance needed to support consistent delivery of quality service, advice, and compliance outcomes. This role plays a keypartinidentifyingprocess improvements,monitoringoperational risks, and ensuring regulatory and compliance standards aremaintainedacross the organization. We areseekinga collaborative and people-focused leader with solid compliance, operational, and coachingexpertisewho can drive continuous improvement and build highly engaged teams.
This is a Full time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Sr. Manager,BankingOperationsCompliance. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be in office for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Monitoring andoptimizingoperationalcompliance programsto support consistent service, compliance, and performance outcomes
Coordinating the identification and consolidation of process improvement opportunities and performance gaps across business areas
Providing feedback and recommendations to branch leadership teams to support coaching and development plans
Monitoring policies, procedures, and operational practices toidentifycompliance risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Supporting the achievement of regulatory, compliance, service, and risk management standards acrossInclusive Banking
Leading and developing a highly engaged, diverse, and capable compliance team
Managing operational priorities, processes, and resources to support departmentalobjectivesand service delivery
Collaborating with business partners to implement process improvements and strengthen operational effectiveness
Employing effective risk management practices aligned with Vancity’s enterprise risk management framework
Working cross-functionally to balance departmental goals with organizational priorities and member needs
WhatYou’llBring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, or a relatedexperience
Minimum5years of progressive experience in compliance, operations, risk management, banking, or financial services
People leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, operational controls, and risk management practices
Experiencemonitoringoperational performance,identifyingtrends, and implementing process improvements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Experience working within financial services, banking operations, or a highly regulated environment
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
Experience leading compliance, quality assurance, or operational oversight functions
Professional designation such as CRCM, CAMS, CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent
Experience working within a credit union environment

This role offers a salary range of $86,400to $111,800per annum .
The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,previousexperience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
