This full time role within the Children & Family Services team focuses on leadership and coordination of prevention services and post-majority support. You will supervise crucial staff such as the Band Designate and Youth Mentors, guiding their professional development and ensuring effective service delivery. Your leadership will foster a culturally responsive environment to address community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Children's Prevention Services and Post-Majority Support programs
• Supervise and mentor Band Designate, Youth Mentors, and staff
• Plan and implement prevention-focused community programs
• Support post-majority youth in achieving independence
• Collaborate with partners for comprehensive community services
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• 3 years working with children and families
• Knowledge of Mi'kmaq culture and community protocols
• Valid driver's license and First Aid certification
