About Us
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid QA Manager for a permanent opportunity with one of our clients in Mississauga, ON.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead the transformation of a quality assurance organization by driving modern quality engineering practices, strengthening automation capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role combines technical leadership with people management and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will lead a distributed QA team, including collaboration with offshore resources operating during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement QA strategies, standards, and governance processes that improve product quality and customer experience.

Lead the modernization and expansion of test automation frameworks and promote an automation-first quality engineering approach.

Establish quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous process improvements across the software development lifecycle.

Champion shift-left testing practices and ensure effective testing across UI, API, regression, and performance testing initiatives.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop QA team members through goal setting, performance management,



and continuous feedback.

Collaborate with development, product, and business stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are aligned with business priorities.

Standardize testing documentation, test plans, and QA best practices across teams.

Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

Demonstrated experience building, leading, and scaling QA automation teams within Agile environments.

Strong leadership, coaching, and change management experience with the ability to transform QA organizations.

Experience implementing quality engineering best practices and process improvement initiatives.

Hands‑on knowledge of automation frameworks including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.

Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.

Experience with API testing tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.





Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and cloud-based development environments.

Experience using test management platforms such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.

Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.

Experience leading distributed or offshore QA teams.

Experience driving enterprise‑wide QA transformation initiatives.

Compensation
Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 / Year
