Join the Provincial Assessment team in Edmonton as an Assessment Specialist focusing on Humanities. Your role will focus on enhancing assessment practices in English Language Arts and Social Studies.

This full-time, permanent position with Alberta Education and Childcare seeks a proactive individual with a Master’s degree and a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate. You will lead the development and implementation of Grade 9 provincial achievement tests, ensuring they meet educational standards and facilitate fair assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and validate provincial achievement tests
• Collaborate with curriculum experts on assessments
• Train and support educators in assessment methods
• Report and communicate assessment data effectively
• Stay updated on assessment trends and practices

Requirements:
• Master's degree in a related field
• Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Deep knowledge of curriculum and assessment design
• Strong skills in facilitating collaboration
