Neuroradiologist A diagnostic neuroradiologist with expertise in endovascular thrombectomy is required to join a group of 54 radiologists, 7 of whom specialise in neuroradiology in an academic hospital.
The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the largest tertiary care group of teaching hospitals in Atlantic Canada and part of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. It is the only centre providing endovascular stroke treatment in Nova Scotia and PEI and the core adult clinical teaching facility for Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine. There are active residency programmes in Diagnostic Radiology, Neuroradiology and Nuclear Medicine. There is a well-developed research infrastructure with opportunities to promote academic achievement.
Halifax is the growing capital city of Nova Scotia in Canada’s Maritime provinces. It is a popular summer cruise ship destination and home to several universities. Halifax is a medium sized city which offers a high quality of living.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements,
Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority. Earliest start date will be September 1, 2026.
The candidate will be an FRCPC, or equivalent, in Diagnostic Radiology and have a minimum two-year fellowship in diagnostic and/or interventional neuroradiology.
The candidate will be proficient in diagnostic neuroimaging, image guided spine procedures and endovascular stroke treatment.
A proven academic record is required.
