Become a Machine Shop Technician at RTX, specializing in hand honing and V-honing aircraft components. This onsite role in Oakville requires expertise in machining and tool operation.
In this position, you will report to the Day shift Surface Finishing Supervisor and be responsible for various honing tasks crucial to production. Candidates typically bring 1-3 years of honing or machining experience. Key skills include utilizing measuring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and operating overhead cranes safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ID and OD grinding on aircraft components
• Participate in lean initiatives like 5S and TPM
• Communicate process issues between shifts
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Move parts safely using cranes
Requirements:
• High school diploma and 1-3 years machining experience
• Proficiency in reading micrometers and blueprints
• Ability to use Matrix and read latest MPS/APS
• Eligibility to work in Canada under ITAR and CCGP
• Certificate of Qualification preferred
