Pursue a vital role as a Forestry Sector Legal and Policy Analyst at PCAsia in Viet Nam. Drive impactful forest governance through legal reviews and policy analysis in a cooperative environment.
This position supports the ‘Parliaments Strengthening Forest Governance’ project aimed at enhancing the National Assembly's capabilities. As a consultant, you will conduct comprehensive legal and policy reviews, producing a Policy Gap Matrix to identify inconsistencies and leverage parliamentary actions. Your contributions will facilitate stakeholder engagement and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and prepare inception strategy with methodology
• Review forest governance laws and policies in Viet Nam
• Analyze budget frameworks and transparency mechanisms
• Incorporate insights from civil society and Indigenous consultations
• Validate findings with PCAsia and EWMI
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in social sciences or related field
• 7 years of experience in governance or policy research
• Expertise in participatory approaches to governance
• Understanding of Southeast Asian forest frameworks
• Excellent analytical and writing skills in English
