About the role

Reddit is on the lookout for a dynamic leader to take charge of the Auto, Media and Entertainment, and Telecommunications sectors within our Canadian division. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of Client Partners and Client Account Managers, guiding them to help advertisers and agencies achieve their marketing objectives on our platform. Your leadership will be crucial in driving revenue growth and enhancing our market presence.

What youll do

• Build, nurture, and lead a high-achieving sales team, focusing on recruitment and retention strategies.
• Set and ensure the team meets or surpasses established revenue targets, driving performance through effective leadership.
• Offer strategic insights to both product and sales leadership regarding market dynamics and resource distribution.
• Partner with the Marketing team to facilitate product launches and attract new advertisers to the platform.
• Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations to define and uphold operational and financial benchmarks.
• Play a key role in shaping the overarching strategy for the Finance and Travel sectors.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members to foster professional growth.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and optimize team performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in digital media sales or marketing, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry.
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role with direct people management responsibilities in a sales context.
• Proven track record in direct advertiser sales, with experience in managing strategic partnerships and negotiations.
• Familiarity with engaging C-level executives within the Auto, Media & Entertainment, or Telecommunications sectors.
• Strong knowledge of both brand marketing and direct-response strategies, with the ability to apply them effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, complemented by excellent communication skills.
