About the role The Manager, Accreditation leads the accreditation portfolio and is accountable for the effective management, quality assurance, continual improvement, and strategic alignment of accreditation operations, systems, people, and initiatives. The role provides direct line management to the CEAB Secretary, Accreditation Analyst, Accreditation Program Advisor, and Accreditation Coordinator; oversees portfolio-level planning and performance; and ensures that accreditation processes, tools, records, volunteer supports, and stakeholder relationships remain effective, defensible, and aligned with Engineers Canada’s objectives. Key Responsibilities Leads the accreditation portfolio, including direct line management of the CEAB Secretary (who supervises the Senior Coordinator, Accreditation Visits who in turn manages the Coordinator,



Accreditation Visits), Accreditation Analyst, Accreditation Program Advisor, and Accreditation Coordinator, as well as work planning, budgeting, priority setting, risk management, and performance management across accreditation operations. Provides portfolio-level quality assurance for accreditation operations, decision-support materials, documentation, reporting, processes, tools, publications, and interest-holder communications. Provides portfolio-level oversight of accreditation visits, substantial equivalency activities, related operational processes, and service delivery, with day-to-day operational leadership provided by the CEAB Secretary. Ensures effective triage, response, and escalation of accreditation and substantial equivalency inquiries across the team, including allocation of routine, technical, governance, policy, data, and complex matters to the appropriate role. Leads the development, interpretation, implementation, revision, approval, maintenance, and publication of accreditation criteria, procedures, guidance, decision frameworks, reports, communiqués, and public-facing accreditation information, in coordination with staff responsible for drafting, logistics, and dissemination. Develops and maintains relationships with CEAB leadership, regulators, Higher Education Institutions, Engineering Deans Canada, students, volunteers, and other national and international interest holders involved in accreditation and engineering education. Leads the accreditation volunteer strategy, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, support, and volunteer succession planning, in coordination with staff responsible for day-to-day volunteer administration.
