The investment consists of:A joint venture with a leading railcar lessor, collectively managing a ~$4 billion fleet consisting of approximately 100,000 railcars, andA wholly owned fleet of ~23,000 railcars and locomotives, managed by our JV partner, with total assets of approximately $1 billionThese are critical assets underpinning the North American transport network with stable demand and highly contracted cashflows, however from time-to-time decisions will be required on asset sales, treasury, liquidity, and operating matters that will require support from the Head of Finance along with Brookfield Investment and Portfolio Management teams. along with best-in-class strategic partner.Role OverviewThe Head of Finance will be based in Toronto and will be accountable for all elements of the finance function supporting Brookfield’s interest in the Joint Venture, and our wholly-owned fleet. There may also be travel required to our strategic partner’s office in Chicago a few times a year. In the role, you will work closely with our JV partner, Brookfield’s investments and portfolio management teams, and accounting and tax service providers to build and optimize the finance function and drive value creation within this investment.Working closely with service providers, the Head of Finance has direct responsibility for all elements of the finance function including financial reporting, forecasting, debt compliance, treasury and liquidity management, platform-level analysis and ad hoc finance deliverables.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain direct exposure to a growing infrastructure platform, with responsibility across the core finance activities of an investment operating company.Key ResponsibilitiesLead preparation of quarterly and annual audited financial statements, working in conjunction with our JV partner and accounting service providersOwn the financial forecast, operating KPIs, liquidity and distributions forecasts for both businessesOversee tax provision and tax compliance work, working with tax service providerMaintain valuation model for the respective investments, as well as asset pricing and sales tools to support re-leasing / sale decisionsProvide recurring updates to Brookfield with respect to investment performanceLead debt compliance for a secured financing arrangement and revolving credit facilityOversee treasury and payments, collaborating with Brookfield Treasury and our JV partnerTechnical Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics,
