Job Summary The Key Account Manager will work directly on developing and maintaining new retail, foodservice and wholesale accounts that coincide with the company’s strategic short- and long-term goals. This position is responsible for creating and delivering sales presentations to new and existing customers, attending trade shows, representing the company at various industry functions, and managing prices and margin goals based on the company’s strategic plan.
Duties and Responsibilities Develop and obtain business targets through directories, cold calls, internet research and industry tradeshows
Develop, plan, attend and deliver company presentations to new and existing customers
Manage entire sales account process; order entry, product allocation, logistics and delivery confirmation; focus on achieving an established goal of increased sales targets by customer and/or region
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews and goal setting
Setting customer ad lids, contract pricing, strong market awareness; ability to make quick decisions
Market driven intelligence regarding competitive pricing, products and packaging innovation and customer demographics
Other core expectations as defined by the company
Requirements and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or a related field required
Minimum of three (3) years of proven sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; produce or agricultural industry preferred
Experience in internet-based programs such as EDI, Retail Link, Food Link, I-Trade required
Proficiency in MS Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required; ERP or FAMOUS preferred
Knowledge of business and market development, market research and planning, and promotions/advertising
Analytical skills required; able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Commitment to high professional ethical standards; professional presence and ability to work effectively with executives, senior-level management, and high-profile customers
Strong organizational and time management abilities that allow projects and goals to be completed on time
Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to sell ideas and concepts to various stakeholders
Working Conditions Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; flexibility required; ability and willingness to travel; must hold a valid passport with no travel restrictions
Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Compensation & Perks: This position offers a starting salary beginning at $90,000 CAD annually, with higher potential placement within the compensation structure based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, Pure Flavor provides a competitive total rewards package that includes company-paid benefits, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
