Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Compliance Analyst, Bank Operations, you will provide advice and guidance on regulatory requirements, operational policies, and compliance processes to help reduce organizational risk while supporting adherence to Vancity’s compliance framework. You will conduct regulatory and policy reviews, assess compliance risks,identifyprocess improvements, and collaborate with business units to develop action plans that strengthen operational effectiveness. We are seeking a collaborative compliance professional with strong analytical skills, risk managementexpertise, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Team Manager, Bank Operations Compliance. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands
How You'll Make an Impact:
Assessing business unit adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures
Conducting compliance reviews, documenting findings, andidentifyingopportunities for process improvement
Performing gap analyses and recommending enhancements to policy controls and compliance practices
Utilizing compliance reporting to support the development and monitoring of business unit action plans
Providing compliance and policyexpertiseto managers and business partners while resolving escalated inquiries
Supporting organizational projects and initiatives by providing recommendations on operational policies and process enhancements
Participating in the testing, optimization, and implementation of new or enhanced systems and processes
Acting as a senior resource by providing peer mentorship, guidance, and training to support effective business solutions
WhatYou’llBring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Commerce, Finance, Law, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, banking operations, or a related financial services environment
Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, policies, and operational procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct reviews, investigations, and gap analyses
Experience developing recommendations and action plans to address compliance risks and operational issues
Demonstrated ability to build relationships andprovidetrusted advice to business stakeholders
Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management practices, and internal control environments
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
Experience within the financial services, credit union, or banking industry
Professional certification such as CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CRMP, ora relateddesignation
Experience supporting compliance-related projects, system implementations, or process transformation initiatives

WhatYou’llEarn:
This role offers a salary range of $76,500 to $99,000 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,previousexperience, and internal equity.
As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
