Extendicare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse who is passionate about delivering goal-directed nursing care. This part time role involves working in a vibrant environment focused on improving residents' quality of life through personalized healthcare.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will report to the DOC or DHW and ensure compliance with clinical standards. Responsibilities include providing direct resident care, documenting assessments, and facilitating family education. Candidates should have a commitment to enhancing community well-being and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient-oriented nursing care
• Manage clinical assessments and care plan updates
• Participate in resident care conferences
• Implement and review residents' care plans
• Ensure medication safety and compliance
Requirements:
• Valid registration as a Registered Practical Nurse
• Experience in geriatric care and teamwork is an advantage
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Current First Aid certification needed
• Up-to-date Vulnerable Position Screening within six months
