Job Overview Come help build the future, where our work makes the world work! Heavy Duty Mechanic (Field Service) Delta, BC | Full-Time | Monday to Friday Join the GIP Team! GIP is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team immediately. We are seeking a motivated individual to maintain and repair our fleet of specialized foundation drilling equipment supporting projects throughout the Greater Vancouver area. A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal certification is preferred; however, experienced non-Red Seal mechanics are encouraged to apply.
Compensation Compensation: $48.00–$60.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Location and Schedule Location: Based out of Delta, BC. Field position supporting projects across the Greater Vancouver region Monday to Friday schedule.
Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on heavy foundation and construction equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
Respond to emergency field repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Support field crews with on-site troubleshooting and technical expertise.
Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.
Work closely with operations and project teams to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Qualifications Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction or foundation equipment.
Experience with BAUER & Klemn foundation equipment is considered a strong asset.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and onboard diagnostics.




Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently in field environments.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
