As an Occupational Therapist, you'll play a vital role in patient care, utilizing your skills to perform assessments, treatment, and rehabilitation. You will engage with various community members to ensure holistic care and functional independence in self-care, productivity, and leisure pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with patients and families for optimal care
• Participate in interprofessional teams for quality improvement
• Supervise Therapy Assistants and provide peer mentoring
• Ensure active patient participation in therapies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
• Experience in acute care, outpatient, or home care settings
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
