The Health, Safety & Wellness Specialist position emphasizes prevention and continuous improvement within the City’s health programs. As a key player reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety and Wellness, you will collaborate with department leaders, employees, and Joint Health and Safety Committees. Your focus will be on providing guidance and training on critical health and safety issues while ensuring compliance and support across the city.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement health and safety programs
• Evaluate and maintain wellness initiatives and programs




• Collaborate with leaders and employees for effective training
• Provide technical guidance on safety hazards and risks
• Support Joint Health and Safety Committees and union representatives

Requirements:
• Proven experience in health and safety program development
• Robust communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to conduct training and provide technical support
• Experience working with occupational health programs
• Familiarity with safety legislation and guidelines
