In addition, this position may assist with tasks associated with external and internal assessment, and non-conforming event reporting.The APL Quality Department is a provincial department with members located across the province. As such, work location and hybrid work arrangements may be negotiable. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with 1-3 days on site per week.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing,



results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as an MLT, within the last five years. Minimum one (1) year experience with document development and revision within the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
QMS Certificate or equivalent education. One (1) year experience with advanced user functions in an electronic document management system. Recent (in the last 5 years) experience participating in accreditation activities. Recent (in the last 5 years) experience participating in process improvement projects. Education in change management and/or project management.
