Maple Leaf Food’s Maintenance team seeks an Industrial Electrician to maintain and serve equipment used in daily production of our products. You will ensure safe plant operations and a secure working environment for all employees.

Rate: $47.92/hour. Night shift (overnight) premium: $0.75/hour.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life

Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment with knowledge of electrical systems.

Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics.

Repair/maintain/mixed motor controls, temperature sensors, and safety sensors.

Work with voltages ranging from 24 V to 575 V, 3‑phase.

Read logic and flow diagrams.

Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective action.

Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program.





Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Policies.

What You’ll Bring

Red Seal Certification.

Own hand tools.

Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.

Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a team‑based environment.

Ability to work overnight shift.

Good mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require.
