In this full time, permanent role, you will oversee the efficient functioning of high pressure steam equipment and associated systems at Hants Community Hospital. Your expertise will support daily operations, including inspection of building mechanical systems and compliance with safety regulations. Silent hour emergency calls are part of your responsibilities, ensuring readiness at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure continuous operation of chillers and steam equipment
• Conduct rounds of building mechanical rooms regularly
• Monitor water treatment programs and auxiliary equipment
• Respond to silent hour emergency calls effectively
• Inspect various mechanical systems to maintain standards
Requirements:
• Standardized Nova Scotia 3rd Class Power Engineer designation
• One year experience in high pressure plant operations
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems
• Strong safety mindset and track record
• Competency in French is an asset
