Sofina Foods is looking for a proactive Cost Accountant who will provide essential financial and analytical support to plant management. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and data integrity for manufacturing operations.
As a Cost Accountant, you will report directly to the Controller, with a focus on analyzing production reports and cost variances. Key responsibilities include updating cost models, conducting product audits, and supporting management initiatives to identify improvements. Your role is critical in maintaining compliance with GAAP standards and assisting in inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze production reports across various timeframes
• Attend daily meetings to provide operational reports for decision-making
• Support analysis of cost variances and inventory accuracy
• Update and maintain standard cost models for materials and labor
• Ensure accuracy in month-end reporting and physical counts
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in accounting or finance
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience
• Pursuing CPA designation is preferred
• Solid knowledge of GAAP principles
• Proficient in Excel with ERP system experience
