ELA Catalyst
Mosquito School is seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual to fill the full-time position of an ELA Catalyst. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support to in-school professional staff in literacy instructional improvement.
Provide professional development activities and work with in-school staff in exploring a wide variety of literacy instructional strategies.
Work extensively with students to help them improve specific reading/writing skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies.
Focus on specific needs of particular students where regular classroom instruction is not sufficient.
Work with the teacher to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child.
Qualifications: Certification in special education would be an asset. Minimum 3-5 years of successful teaching experience.
Salary based on the qualifications and experience
