Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled Machine Shop Technician for weekend night shifts in Oakville, Ontario. This role emphasizes fit and ream capabilities, honing, and ensuring production quality.
Reporting to the Weeknight Nights shift Assembly Supervisor, you will support ongoing production requirements. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least two years of machining experience. Key responsibilities include using precision tools, performing machining tasks, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load, fixture, and unload components accurately
• Execute honing and lathe operations as needed
• Maintain documentation for quality logs and discrepancies
• Engage in 5S activities and support Standard Work Development
• Multi-task and assist with TPM and machine checklists
Requirements:
• High school diploma and 2 years machining experience
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Experienced with measuring tools and material handling
• Eligibility to work in Canada under ITAR regulations
• Proven safety operations with cranes and hoists
