Join GIP as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Delta, BC, where you’ll maintain and repair specialized foundation drilling equipment. This full-time role supports critical projects across the Greater Vancouver area.
GIP is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for field service work from Monday to Friday. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and support field crews with technical expertise. This position values robust knowledge in hydraulics, diesel engines, and excellent troubleshooting abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Respond to emergency field repairs to reduce equipment downtime
• Assist field crews with troubleshooting and support
• Maintain detailed service records and parts inventory
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy equipment repair
• Familiarity with BAUER & Klemn equipment is a strong asset
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
