Job Description The incumbent is responsible for providing quality-nursingcare to patients and their families in the Outpatient Emergency Department.
Qualifications Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current A.C.L.S. Certificate or willingness to attain at own expense.
Minimum of two (2) years acute care experience in an active treatment setting.
Emergency course or ENC.
Triage training or willingness to obtain.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Process and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Demonstrated excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently at times without supervision.
Demonstrates positive assessment, judgement, decision-making and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications Coronary care certificate.
Previous experience in an Emergency Department.
