In this permanent, on-site role, you will join CBC Hamilton's news team, focusing on breaking news coverage. Candidates should exhibit strong news judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Your ability to swiftly gather and present information under tight deadlines will be essential in informing our audience effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quickly respond to breaking news events across platforms
• Report live on-air, offering analysis and context
• Package and prepare radio newscasts adhering to style guidelines
• Edit content from team members when necessary
• Develop relationships with a diverse network of sources
Requirements:
• Minimum three years of related journalism experience
• Proficient in live reporting and breaking news coverage
• Solid writing and vetting skills
• Knowledge of CBC journalistic standards
• Valid driver's license and suitable driving record
